Orkney Sculpture
The following wood and bone sculptures are made in direct response to visiting the islands of Orkney, which lie off the north-east tip of mainland Scotland. The ancient neolithic and later Norse occupation of the islands as well as the natural spirituality of the place, strongly influence these works.
